Hello! Korean learners.

I’m Danny Park who's teaching Korean on italki.

After a number of years of teaching Korean to college students from around the globe, I realized that a lot of my students are utilizing an app to be taught Korean.

And so I wished to create an app that can really enhance the Korean language skills of learners with my experience of instructing Korean for a long time.

I didn't have the talents to develop an app, however I studied coding with the help of one of my college students Dave, an American programmer.

And now we now have the ‘podo’ app.

▶ What you are in a position to do with the ‘podo’ app

1. LESSON

: Our objective is to be able to communicate in Korean. Learning a model new language isn't just about memorizing phrases. Rather than memorizing a handful of phrases, attempt to give attention to only a few phrases that are used in daily life.

‘podo’ lessons are designed to be taught as many expressions as potential with the minimal number of phrases that most people use regularly.

2. READING

: Students who have some basic Korean conversation skills want to read well. However, the articles on the internet or books are very obscure and that makes you lose confidence.

'podo’ reading is written just for Korean learners. Using simple words and expressions, I wrote attention-grabbing content material associated to Korea. You also can practice speaking whereas shadowing the pronunciation recorded by a local speaker (I suppose it is higher to pay attention so much to a traditional Korean voice rather than to announcer or Google Translate).

3. WRITING

: Most students, together with advanced students, are having trouble writing in Korean. You can get some corrections via language trade sites or apps, however you can't make sure if it is the proper answer. Also, it’s exhausting to understand why you should correct issues like that.

In 'podo’ writing, you may get suggestions on your writing in addition to correct corrections by reliable Korean lecturers.

4. COLLECTION

: As you study ‘podo’ lessons and readings, you can collect vocabularies and expressions that you simply need to add to your assortment storage with a single touch. You can repeat the collections with the flashcards.

I'm not an expert programmer, so sometimes programmatic problems may occur.

If you discover a problem, please report it within the ‘Report bug’ menu in the app.

Also, if you have any feedback to make the ‘podo’ app higher, please share it within the ‘Suggestions’ menu within the app.

Let's start learning Korean with 'podo'!
