undisputed emperor of Showa sweets—fruit parfait!

Okay, you may be, however so is everybody, at first.

Stay some time, nonetheless, and Grandma's garrulous manner

will quickly have you as chatty as her other regulars.

They're an odd bunch, they usually all seem to have their

share of troubles. But after the third bowl of miso soup or so,

they'll open up and reveal their tales, each joyous and sad.

Strap in for an all new set of tales, with some surprising

twists and turns alongside the way in which. And bear in mind, everybody's

got that one special meal they will just never forget.

On a tiny aspect street in a anonymous little neighborhood sits an

old Japanese diner. Things are quiet right here; old-fashioned

you might say. But after all they are. It's Showa era Japan,

and the television is simply starting to come into vogue.

Come on in, have a seat, and shut your eyes.

Thunk thunk goes the regular beat of a knife chopping

veggies. Hisss; the sound of meat sizzling in a pan.

Getting hungry? Good, 'cause the meals here is certain to

warm your belly and go away you feeling good and full.

Besides, the kindly old granny who runs the place needs

all the business she will be in a position to get. She simply opened the diner's

doors the opposite day, and she or he's busy as a bee trying to stay

afloat. Managing a profitable eatery's no easy task!

...Hmm, one thing about this old woman appears awfully acquainted.

Didn't she use to run a diner on the opposite facet of town...?
